The crew revisits living underground, lunar lava tube safety, and drops into a science hole about a Stanford discovery that rewrites how we think life produces DNA
Hey Joe, Nick, and Georgia!! It is neat how this season is space heavym
Artemis 2 is inspiring.π
They are the footnotes j/kπ.
Yeah, it has been a long time since the previous moon mission.
Cool that they are renovating the Catacombs. Always glad to hear about historical sites being maintained.
Makes sense that the closer you are to the epicenter, you'd feel the quake more. Unless it is a 9 or 10 size earthquake, I don't think you'd feel it if you are far away.
Science Holes is a good name π lol.
Helpful description of how DNA gets translated to MRNA and then get translated to proteins.
It is intriguing. Neat how CRISPR can help stop viruses's replication process by snipping it out. Wow and it can use the protein left behind as a template? (And go from protein to DNA?) Awesome!!
Great info about proteinsπ
Sorry btw if I missed some details/write something incorrect. Someone on the train I am on is playing music loudly and talking loudly.
Great info about anemia and how CRISPR can be used to treat it.
A CRISPR ep would be awesome!!
It has been a while since I learned about DNA, so this helps.
Yep! The oceans are places where we still don't know much about. π
How are you liking Daredevil? π
Nice! Glad you had a cool Free Comic Book Day and got to hang out together π.
The free comic books are nice samples, I agree π.
I wanna read Strange Buildings. Art Cure also π
Absolution sounds awesome. I love the movie Annihilation.
That is neat. :) I love the advances that are being made. I'm excited to see what will be found in the future, especially as more research is done (though I know that's been hampered by federal cuts).
Glad you're really liking it :). Hope you enjoyed the finale. It was very good in my view.
"Science Holes" is cool!! Very informative and neat. I like how you go over some related thoughts to the main episode, responses to listener comments, and then have a section about a scientific paper or article that Nick discovers and is intrigued by :).
:) Will do. The older I get, the more curious I am lol. I'm intrigued by a lot. Thank you for all your support :).

Great discussion! Cool episode. Take care. :)π
Alex, thanks for listening and commenting.
You said, βWow and it can use the protein left behind as a template? (And go from protein to DNA?)β
Yup, you got it. Crazy and totally different than we thought the process works.
You asked about daredevil: reborn season 2: Iβm really enjoying it and a little sad the finale was released tonight.
Iβm glad you are enjoying the βScience Holesβ.
Stay curious!π
No problem :)
